This weekend is going to consist of some major cleaning up and ::ahem:: finishing unpacking. Jed and I are going to rough it, eating ice cream and finally making my place look more like home. Mom's still up north, Grandma was in the hospital again, she's been getting dizzy but the don't know for sure why coz she's refusing a MRI. So they kept her for a few days, Ron and Bob have been up there with her, and Mom kinda switched out with Ron.

I've recently put Google Analytics up on my website. I'm getting kinda creeped out by what keywords people are searching for on Google and getting my site, so I'm going to see if I can't prevent some of that. And maybe put something useful up besides from the photo gallery. Which at almost 800 pictures is starting to feel pretty impressive.

I should get to work! Or take a nap... <lj:music>head hurts, no music</lj:music>

Mmk, so I've got allergies or a cold or something. But neither kind of medicine is even making a dent. And then last night, I thought I'd just take something to knock me out, figuring I couldn't feel miserable if I was sleeping... but that did nothing for me. I slept from like 1-5. The last two mornings I've woken up gasping for breath, my throat is swollen, it's hard to breathe.

I'm usually so healthy, or at least since I got out of school, I think I had a cold the winter before last, and it lasted like 2 days and wasn't bad at all, but these last few months since my dad, it's like my immune system has taken a vacation. Damn stress I'd guess. So I missed the Brewer's game this weekend and seeing Theresa's new ponies. She and her kid are so susceptible to this kind of stuff I didn't want to risk it since I'm not sure what it is. And long drives and loud people I think may have killed me.

Oh, and I was giving Kira a dining room table for her birthday, but w/o chairs as the ones I had originally weren't really safe. Mom calls me today to tell me Arik is giving her his old table and chairs now. WTF! So now I have to think of something else... I was thinking maybe some sisterly time at a tanning place. A few appointments over a week or two or something. How much do they cost, anyone know?

Oh well, it's not like a don't have my new green computer to play with. I can sit here, not talk, and not move. Except to blow my nose, or get more water. Mmm. Water.

So I got my camera about halfway through the day... but for some reason I'm having issues uploading, so no pictures at the moment.

We went up hiking in the Savoy Mountain State Forest, but we kind of misjudged the distance, and got a little bit more exercise then we were bargaining for. We were gone a good four hours. So then we came back and ate at this little, apparently famous sandwich shop here in Williamstown. I then discovered that this famous huge block of cheese from 1802 was created not too far away from here in Cheshire, so we stopped by Walmart (yuck) and bought me a camera, and went to take pictures of this glorious monument to the giant cheese.

It was amazing.

Then Beeka wanted Ben and Jerry's, so we drove down to Pittsfield and stopped in at the Ben and Jerry's there. It was yummy. I proceeded to snap pictures of everything and anything, many of them not turning out, but who cares? Well, me a little if I can't get them uploaded. Hrm.

Overall it was a grand day. The campus here in the light is beautiful, and it's so peaceful to drive in and around all the mountains. I'm used to the glacier pressed Wisconsin flatlands, to be surrounded by mountains is pretty awe-inspiring.

I'm trying to plan out the rest of my trip, but it's hard. I'd like to drive back different, drive through some of the more southern states. But when people I plan on visiting aren't online... it poses a problem.

So plans for today... Becca's talking about an Art Museum, that should be neat. I also need to get my hands on a cheap digital camera. I forgot mine at home. I can sell it to Kim then, she promised to pay me back in installments :D

I wish I could go out for a walk... I guess I could, just drag my phone along. I just don't know when I'd be able to get back in, I need a card to get back into the building. I've got so much to do, it's 9:00 here! Where is that girl? I'm showered, dressed, ready to hit the road wherever!

Oooh, it looks like there's a cheese monument not too far from here! Indiana is much more afordable. Michigan is kind of dull. Ohio goes on forever. Pennsylvania.... well, I wasn't there that long. New York is mostly forest covered mountains. Vermont is rainy. Don't ask me why I was there. And I've only seen Massachusetts in the dark.

Oh, I forgot my camera.
Things are progressing, every room a little bit more. The upstairs bathroom is at 100% ready to go... but so far that's the only room to hit that percentage. I think everything that is glass in the kitchen is safely packed though, so it's just a matter of throwing the rest of the stuff in a box.

Leaving on Saturday now for sure... tomorrow we're having a non-work sponsored packing party, involving pizza and booze. I never quite got around to the booze part... sounds like at least 10 people will be over though. As long as I've got everything in a semi-movable state, should go very very very quickly. Then it'll be a matter of finishing cleaning... Derek's coming over on Friday, and Mom is coming by too. Cleaning party Friday, w00t! Then I'll likely have Derek manage the landlord inspection, he's a little more concerned about the security deposit then I am.

Coz on Saturday, I'll be taking off!

Gee wiz, I have not really done much of anything in this room... Depending on things, I'll be stopping to visit Kim, my uncle Joe's family, Kerwin in Ohio, and Becca of course! Then there's Vineet in New Jersey too... Hmmm.

Geoff had some surgery today, but he's out and seems to be doing well! I was glancing at the clock all day, like, hum, I bet he's still at home, or oh noes! He's in surgery! And then like, ahhh he's done now I bet, or I bet he's home. Surgery is scary >< My boss has to go back in and they have to redo the procedure on him.

We've got a few new guys at work, that's fun. But then it's another thing on my list, with Brian not being fully back, Tim's taking on his peon so I kinda am getting defaulted to helping the other. It's not that I mind helping him out and pointing him in some good directions, but it's just kinda another distraction. I'm still coordinating so many things right now, I can't get my own work done. And I really really really want to this one project at least testable before I leave on vacation.

I'll prolly have a heart attack or a stroke before Friday.
$2043.35 That's apparently how much it's going to cost to repair my car. With all the labor. So I'll get a rental car the week of the 14th.

Oh and...

You Should Rule Mars

Mars is a planet that shines brightly and loops wildly around the solar system.

You are perfect to rule Mars, because you are both energetic and independent.
Like Mars, you seems attractive and bright to others - but you're difficult to pin down.

You are a great thinker, but you only think in the present and ignore the future.
Full of enthusiasm and inspiration, you are into your own thing... and rather insensitive to others.

What Planet Should You Rule?

My brother came up to me at work today and said those words. "First of all she's ok." And I was just like, what? Grandma's not going home today? That's not so bad, I know she's safe if she stays in the swing bed, right?

Naw, it wasn't Grandma. She did go home today though and is doing fine. Apparently my sister was in a car accident down in Point. She's ok, I swung by home to see her, bruised and cut and what not, but in one piece. The car's not, I'm hearing it's likely totaled. But wasn't April supposed to be the end of this? Maybe I'm going off of the wrong calendar. Sidereal months vs Sydonic months?

You know how I usually have morbid dreams? Death, destruction, etc etc. I've been having this dream, pretty much every night since my Dad's operation of my sister dying in a car crash. Besides the annoyance of having a reoccurring dream, I was pretty much ignoring it. I mean, come on, it's not like it would be uncommon considering the crap last month. But was more then just a little bit of déjà vu when Arik said that. For a moment there, after he walked away, and it kind of settled on me, as I was staring at my lunch, it was like I was stuck in my dream and she really was dead.

/shudders

Dad's out of the hospital, and is on the road to recovery. My grandma is supposed to be released tomorrow to a swing line hospital instead of a home, which I'm hoping makes everyone feel better as I really don't know what the difference is.

Oh, and I finally slept last night. It felt good. Now I need a snack, relaxed this afternoon with a few episodes of The West Wing with Geoff. I needed it, no agenda, no nurses, just de-stressing and giggling.

I am so sore >< Oh and umm... my car got hit. By another car. It's fine and all, the door needs to get replaced I guess, but at least it's my third. You know, everything happens in threes? Well, I'm good for the next year now I think.

We placed 156 in Trivia. W00t!

My Dad was supposed to come home today. He was almost dressed even. Then they discovered that his wound was clotted or something like that, and there was still fluid in him, so they have to do another procedure on him. Something about going through his throat to get to the fluid? Anyone? Help me with this one? How bad is this?

Oh, I never did say what was wrong with him, did I? That might help, my dad's gall bladder died on Monday and they didn't get it out of him till Thursday. And my Grandma got some severe pneumonia, they had to airlift her to Eau Claire. Now they're saying she's going to have to go into home :( But she's out of Critical Care at least for now, and for this I can smile.

I'm so drained, I've been putting my body through hell, the stress with my family, not sleeping and eating junk food all weekend. I think I'm going to go to bed soon. Can't let myself get sick with everything that's going on.

It's a hiccup day. So I usually have to wait a few minutes after they start up every few hours before trying to get rid of them. It's useless at first. Ok, it's been long enough, I'll go suffocate myself now.

...back. They're gone for now. So the new duplex :D It's a cozy little place on a dead end with a private backyard where my dog and I can live together happily. It's awesome. And the weekend in May I end up moving, I'm offering free beer and pizza (possibly brats) to anyone who comes and helps out. Particularly you strong folks out there with trucks ;) but there will be boxes and laptops and what have you to move out as well. Blah! I need to start now, cleaning and what not, so I can make this a one day event and be done with it.

But I'm exhausted today, and I need to go and hammer out my essay questions so Dave and I can get together and share our collective knowledge for our upcoming test. I skipped a quiz today so I have to do especially well :D
